When it comes to cinema classics, which has influenced several generations, you cannot do without the name of Andrei Tarkovsky. You can love his art or it can leave you cold, but the fact remains that the director has long taken his place in the pantheon of the world cinema.
The film historians Valery Fomin and Marina Kosinova decided to follow Tarkovsky's creative path, studying the archives of the Goskino and the adjacent structures. A two-volume set containing the materials uncovering the process of how the best movies were created by the famous director, came as a result of their study.
