Like the famous Soviet composer Georgy Sviridov, who managed to masterfully grasp and convey the mechanics of industrialization in his suite «Time, Forward!», Eisenstein visualized the making of soviet state through cinema. Yet, the main contribution of this revolutionary artist was the creation of a new cinematic language.

Professor Oksana Bulgakova, who authored many publications on the history of early soviet cinema, wrote Eisenstein’s biography in German.
